Sending faxes

How do I send a fax from my phone?

Scan a document with your camera or pick a PDF, confirm the pages, enter the destination fax number, and tap send. FaxDash optimizes the document for fax transmission automatically.

Can I send a fax from my computer or email?

Yes. From the web dashboard, upload a PDF and send. Or use email-to-fax: from the email address on your account, send a message to your-fax-number@fax.faxdash.io with the destination fax number in the subject line and the document attached as a PDF.

Email-to-fax requires an active FaxDash receive number (that's the address you send from); in-app and dashboard sending don't.

Can I send the same fax to multiple recipients?

Yes. Batch fax lets you send one document to many fax numbers at once — useful for notices and announcements. Each recipient is billed separately by page count.

Can I schedule a fax to send later?

Yes. When composing a fax you can choose a future date and time, and FaxDash will transmit it for you automatically.

Can I send international faxes?

Yes, FaxDash supports international fax numbers. International faxes use more credits per page than domestic ones; the exact per-page cost is shown before you confirm the send.

Can I add a cover page?

Yes. The built-in cover page builder adds your name and number, the recipient, a subject, and a short message to the front of your fax.

How do I know my fax was delivered?

Every fax shows a live status — sending, delivered, or failed — in your history, and you get a push notification when it completes. Delivered faxes include a confirmation you can download.

What happens if a fax fails?

If a fax can't be submitted at all, you aren't charged. Once it's accepted for transmission it shows a live status; if it then fails to reach the recipient, it's marked Failed in your history and you're notified, so you can check the number and resend.
