How do I get a fax number to receive faxes?

Inbound faxes appear in your in-app inbox, and you get a push notification the moment one arrives. Turn on fax-to-email in settings to also have them forwarded to your email.
Faxes received on your number are automatically analyzed by AI. You get a plain-language summary, a document category (Medical, Legal, Invoice, and more), key data extracted from the page (amounts, dates, names), and full searchable text — so you can triage a fax without reading the whole thing.
In most cases, yes. FaxDash supports porting an existing fax number from another provider. Start a port request from the dashboard and we'll check eligibility and guide you through it.
Receiving requires an active receive plan tied to your number, because the number is reserved for you each month. Sending faxes remains pay-as-you-go and needs no subscription.
