FaxDash is a mobile and web fax service that lets you send, receive, sign, and manage faxes from your phone, computer, or email. No fax machine needed — just scan a document, upload a file, or use a template.
Open the Send Fax page, upload a document (PDF, image, or use a template), enter the recipient's fax number, and hit Send. You can also send faxes from your email by attaching a PDF and sending it to your FaxDash fax number.
Subscribe to a receive plan to get a dedicated local or toll-free fax number. Incoming faxes appear in your inbox with push notifications, AI-powered summaries, and are optionally forwarded to your email as PDFs.
You can fax PDFs, PNGs, and JPEGs. Images are automatically converted to PDF. Multiple files are merged into a single fax. You can also scan paper documents with your phone's camera.
Yes. FaxDash has a web dashboard (dash.faxdash.io), an iOS app on the App Store, and an Android app on Google Play. Your account, contacts, and fax history sync across all platforms.
Sending starts at $0.07 per page with the Pro Pack (150 credits for $9.99). Starter packs are $0.99 for 5 pages. Credits never expire, and there's no subscription required to send.
No. Once you buy credits, they stay in your account until you use them. There's no time limit.
Each receive plan includes a dedicated fax number (local or toll-free), incoming fax pages per month, monthly send credits, fax-to-email forwarding, push notifications, and AI-powered fax summaries. Plans start at $3.99/month.
Yes. You can send faxes with just a credit pack — no subscription needed. You only need a subscription if you want to receive faxes with a dedicated number.

Yes. Every new account gets 3 free send credits — no credit card required.

Local numbers (with your area code) and toll-free numbers (800, 833, 844, 855, 866, 877, 888). Both types support sending and receiving faxes.
Each receive plan includes one dedicated number. You can add extra numbers with the Extra Fax Number add-on ($2.99/month each).
You can send faxes to any fax number worldwide. International pages use the same credits as domestic — no extra charge.
Most faxes are delivered within 1-2 minutes. Delivery depends on the recipient's fax machine availability. You'll get a push notification when delivery is confirmed.
This means the recipient's fax machine was busy (on another call). Try sending again in a few minutes. This is like getting a busy signal on a phone call.
Yes. Use the batch send feature — add multiple contacts or numbers in the send wizard, and FaxDash sends the same document to all recipients. Each recipient uses credits separately.
Yes. In the send wizard's review step, toggle 'Schedule for later' and pick a date and time. Your fax will be sent automatically at the scheduled time.
Yes. Compose an email, attach your PDF, set the subject to the destination fax number (e.g. +15551234567), and send it to your FaxDash fax number's email address. The fax is sent automatically.
Every received fax is automatically analyzed by AI. You get a plain-language summary, document category (Medical, Legal, Invoice, etc.), key data extraction (amounts, dates, names), and full searchable text — so you don't have to read the whole fax.
FaxDash is built with healthcare compliance in mind. Documents are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). We offer Business Associate Agreements (BAA) for healthcare organizations. Contact support@faxdash.io for details.
Fax documents are stored encrypted on AWS S3. Authentication uses industry-standard JWT tokens with RS256 signing. We never store your password in plain text.
The Vault is a secure archive for your faxes. You can set retention policies (30 days to forever), add tags for organization, and maintain an immutable audit trail of who accessed what and when.
Yes. You can enable TOTP (authenticator app like Google Authenticator), email verification codes, and passkeys (Face ID, Touch ID, security keys) in Settings → Security.
Yes. Go to Settings → Integrations and paste your Slack or Microsoft Teams webhook URL. You'll get instant notifications in your channel when a fax is received, delivered, or fails — including AI summaries.
Yes. Add a generic webhook URL in Settings → Integrations. FaxDash sends JSON payloads for fax events that work with Zapier (Catch Hook), Make (Custom Webhook), or any automation tool.
Yes. Create API keys in Settings → Integrations → API Keys. Use the REST API to send faxes, check status, manage contacts, and more programmatically. API keys use the fxk_ prefix and are hashed for security.
If you subscribed on the web (Stripe), go to Credits & Billing → Subscription → Manage Subscription. If you subscribed on iOS or Android, manage it through your device's subscription settings.
App Store and Google Play subscriptions are managed through your device. On iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play → Payments & Subscriptions.
On the login page, click 'Forgot password?' and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link. You can also change your password in Settings → Security.
